Small Surprise

Design Challenge:
The existing kitchen (see Timeless Tudor under Kitchens) had a toilet located in the panty at the far end of the space requiring you to walk through the kitchen in order to use the facilities (and grab a bag of crackers while you are at it!). The homeowners wanted to either move the bathroom to a more central location or eliminate it all together.

Design Solution:
Since there is no other bathroom on the main floor Molaia Design, and the homeowner’s realtor, thought it was important to keep the space but make it more accessible. While working on a new floor plan for the kitchen we were able to add a small, albeit beautiful, bathroom. The dramatic vintage floral wallpaper and slate grey walls trick the eye into believing the space is larger, and taller, than it really is. The corner sink allows for greater movement and the crystal chandelier dances light around the room. This bathroom is now a delightful surprise!
