Design Challenge:
The once painted brick on this fireplace was falling apart and the shortness of the stone made no sense in an already heavily weighed space.
Design Solution: The fireplace was resurfaced with a combination palette of warm, grey blue and honey yellow cultured stone, which was taken directly to the ceiling to add height and drama to the fireplace. A modest wood mantel was selected to compliment the existing wood beams above and simple accessories were added to complete the look. The result was a soft, clean and timeless fireplace.
